One of Sol's "Sentences on Conceptual Art" really intrigued me: Conceptual artists are mystics rather than rationalists. The leap to conclusions that logic cannot reach.
That's deep. I think on some level we're all conceptual artists. I think it's human nature to want to experience new things and I think we all tend to get these weird and strange ideas that we can't rationalize. We don't know how they came up or how to express them through conventional means. I think Sol Lewitt tries to make the point that conceptual art is about expressing conventional and unconventional ideas in new and unconventional ways.
